About Foresters Primary School
The school is fortunate to have four classes for children with autism. Not only does this contribute to the caring ethos of the school but brings in resources and expertise that helps support children across the whole school.
Our school is a modern single-storey building with an Early Years Foundation Stage Unit. We are fortunate to have a dedicated sports coach, library, OT room, sensory room, soft play area, computer suite, a well-equipped playground including a trim trail and a wonderful sports pavilion. Disabled toilet facilities are available in the school. Access to the playground and playing field is via steps or a ramp.
We believe in educating the 'whole' child and have a wide and diverse curriculum which is not only focused on academic achievement but life skills, sport and the arts. Much use is made of the extensive school grounds and the children are given a wide variety of experiences both within the school day and through extra curricular activities. These include regular educational visits (much use is made of free transport within London) and clubs/teams such as football, tag rugby, yoga, badminton, basketball as well art, cookery, computer, gardening and music.
So once again, welcome to our school. We are sure that your child will be happy and achieve well with us.
